NKJV
1: 6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon form Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel.
2: 16 knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by the faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law; fo rby the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. 19 For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ: it is no longer I who lives, but Christ lives in me: and the life that I know live in the flesh I live by faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave me Himself for me. 3:19 What puepose does the law serve> I t was added because of transgressions. 24 Therefore the law was a tutor to bring us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. 5:13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty: only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh but through love serve one another. 16 I say then: walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 22 For the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such is no law. 6:1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. 2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. |
NIV
1: 6. I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who calledyou to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel.
2: 16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified 19 For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 3: 19 Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was given through angels and entrusted to a mediator. 24 So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. 5: 13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one anotherhumbly in love. 16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 6: 1 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. 2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. |
NLT
1:6 I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News.
2:16 Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law. 19 For when I tried to keep the law, it condemned me. So I died to the law—I stopped trying to meet all its requirements—so that I might live for God. 20 My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 3:19 Why, then, was the law given? It was given alongside the promise to show people their sins. But the law was designed to last only until the coming of the child who was promised. God gave his law through angels to Moses, who was the mediator between God and the people.24 Let me put it another way. The law was our guardian until Christ came; it protected us until we could be made right with God through faith. 5:13 For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. 16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! 6: 1 Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.2. Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. |

NKJV
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declared to you, that God is light even as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus Christ HIs son cleanses from all sin. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us form all unrighteousness. <y little children, these things we write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate withy the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. Beloved let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who love is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. These things we write to you that your joy may be full. |
